    Mission: Wolf

    Located in a remote refuge, Mission: Wolf is a wolf sanctuary that is provides wolves with a peaceful home far from civilization. The sanctuary aims to educate people about wolves and the harmful effects of keeping a wolf as a pet. Up to 40 wolves make the refuge home. Visiting hours are from 9am to 6pm.

    San Isabel National Forest

    San Isabel National Forest encompasses more than one-million acres of diverse lands, from jagged mountain peaks to grasslands. A range of activities are supported, including camping, hiking, fishing, mountaineering and rock climbing. Inside, find well-known peaks of Sawatch Range, the Spanish Peak and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Colorado's highest mountain, Mt. Elbert, is also found in San Isabel.
